You are invited to make a difference in the lives of our special residents, joining many committed family members, employees, Board members, businesses and individuals in the community, event participants, and donors who generously give of themselves. You can support and contribute to Exodus' mission to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities in the following ways:
Join the Board of Directors—Meetings are held six times a year, generally on the third Tuesday of the month at Exodus' administrative office. The Board is responsible for governing the organization; participating in fund-raising activities; supporting the agency by making an investment of personal experience, skills, and knowledge; and advocating for the developmentally disabled population.
Fundraising—For the past 16 years, one of the members of our Board has generously donated her time by organizing Exodus' successful and fun annual "Day at the Races" fundraiser at the Bay Meadows Racetrack. We would dearly love to receive additional support in the area of fundraising, especially in grants writing.
Donate—We are grateful for monetary contributions, which help us provide quality care for our clients, training for employees, and maintenance for our homes. Exodus, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax deductible.
You may also help us through the donation of goods or services. Our residents would love to receive arts and crafts supplies, games, puzzles, videotapes, DVDs, or gift cards. We occasionally have a need for sturdy wood furniture such as end or coffee tables, nightstands, dressers or chairs (with no upholstery), and other items in good, working condition.
